We saw this texting event going on thru the CA 4-H facebook page and decided to check it out. We've never done anything like this before!
For today (only, I believe) they are raising awareness for mental health issues. Late notice, I know. :-/ My kiddos are young so I wasn't sure if they would get anything from participating. Surprising they really seemed to. The program asks some questions about mental health and asks you to discuss it as a group with others. It's just our family here so we really got the conversation rolling. I believe my kids expanded their view of the world tonight. For about an hour they thought about others, how to help them, how to take action and raise awareness...at no point during that time was the world revolving around them. hahaha - It was a breathe of fresh air! If you're interested in participating text START to 89800...move quick, time is running out! #texttalkact #ttaca4h #murrietamustangs Tomorrow - November 11th, 2015It's that time again.
